The Supreme Court passed an Order[i] on 13th February, 2019 (hereinafter, “the Order”) requiring the eviction of forest dwellers whose claims to forest land had been rejected by the competent authorities.[ii] The case pertains to the claims of forest dwellers to forest lands in different states viz.
